Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in the Healthcare industry, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining precise records, and utilizing specific healthcare software.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out procedures

• Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy

• Ensure accurate record-keeping in the Epic EMR system

• Verify and confirm insurance coverage details for all patients

• Collect and process patient copays diligently

• Maintain a smooth workflow within the healthcare facility by coordinating tasks effectively

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Epic EMR system for efficient management of patient records

• Ability to verify insurance coverage to ensure seamless patient service

• Experience in handling copays, including collection, recording, and processing

• Familiarity with healthcare industry best practices and NHS guidelines

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff

• Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• High attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and scheduling

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

• Proven experience in a medical receptionist role or similar within the healthcare industry

• Good understanding of medical terminologies for effective communication with medical staff and patients

• Willingness to stay updated with changes in medical and insurance regulations

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks.
