    Robert Half Legal (Woodbury, NY)


    Description

    Growing firm seeks a junior attorney to support in-house legal operations related to 1031 tax-deferred real estate exchanges. Prior experience in real estate transactions, title, or 1031 exchanges is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with complex transactions including reverse and improvement exchanges

    + Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents

    + Ensure compliance and proper execution of exchange-related documents

    + Advise on legal, compliance, and operational matters

    + Develop expertise in IRC §1031 and real estate tax issues

    + Support marketing/legal material review and special projects

    + Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 1–3 years of legal experience (real estate preferred)

    + Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills

    + Highly organized with attention to detail

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office

    + JD required; admitted in any U.S. jurisdiction (NY/NJ preferred)

    + Writing samples may be requested if interviewed
