Description
We are looking for a Director of Finance who is responsible for overseeing an organization's financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and strategic financial decision-making. You collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with business objectives and ensure the company's long-term financial health. This role is essential for providing data-driven insights and managing both financial risks and opportunities to achieve sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
• Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and cost management efforts.
• Provide strategic advice to executives and board members based on financial data and market trends.
Budgeting and Reporting
• Direct the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and financial projections.
• Oversee the generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting standards.
Risk Management and Compliance
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and laws.
• Drive internal controls and audit processes to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership and Development
• Manage, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across finance departments.
• Evaluate and implement tools to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
Cash Flow and Asset Management
• Oversee cash flow to ensure optimal management of resources.
• Manage the organization’s investment portfolio, debt, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure proper financial controls are in place for procurement and other expenditures.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
+ Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance (preferred).
+ CPA or CFA certification (highly desirable).
+ Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in progressively senior financial roles.
+ Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar systems).
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
+ Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulatory compliance
