    Senior Accountant

     

    Are you an experienced accounting professional who is passionate about finance and eager to take your career to the next level? Robert Half is assisting a client in their search for a Contract Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers significant opportunities to showcase your expertise in accounting and financial reporting while making strategic contributions to a dynamic organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee complex accounting processes, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

    + Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

    + Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to provide insights to management.

    + Reconcile and manage fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.

    + Ensure accurate and timely reporting for audits and tax filings.

    + Develop and implement controls to strengthen accounting practices and ensure regulatory compliance.

    + Mentor and support staff accountants, assisting with their professional development.

    + Provide expertise and recommendations on ERP platforms and software implementation projects.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

    + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or corporate accounting roles.

    + Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

    + Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

    + Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

    + Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
