Description

We are looking for a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join our legal team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting litigation efforts, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and maintaining organized case files. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to complex legal matters. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and gather relevant case information to support litigation activities.

• Prepare and organize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

• Manage and maintain case files, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to facilitate case progress.

• Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions by compiling necessary documentation.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings to courts and other parties.

• Review and summarize case details, depositions, and other legal materials for attorney reference.

• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and tracking case updates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of complex litigation experience.

• Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and case management.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with court filing systems and e-discovery processes.
