    Staff Accountant

Robert Half is assisting a client in hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This role provides an opportunity to expand your accounting expertise while making meaningful contributions to the financial health of a thriving organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data.

    + Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end and year-end closings.

    + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

    + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by preparing invoices, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies.

    + Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow management.

    + Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    + Assist with audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation.

    + Stay updated on accounting standards, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

    + 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role (experience as a Staff Accountant or similar preferred).

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

    + Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and strong understanding of financial reporting standards.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
