Description We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing vendor payments, reconciling financial records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a solid foundation in accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately.

• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.

• Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payment transactions.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in line with company policies.

• Ensure all processes align with organizational compliance and accounting standards.

• Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline payment workflows.

• Provide timely responses to vendor inquiries regarding payment statuses.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Strong knowledge of invoice coding and processing procedures.

• Familiarity with matching purchase orders and receipts to invoices.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
