Description

We are looking for a skilled Patent Docket Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves managing all aspects of U.S. and international patent docketing for our client. Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain docketing systems for U.S. and international patents.

• Ensure all deadlines and filings are accurately recorded and tracked to meet legal requirements.

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to provide timely updates on intellectual property matters.

• Conduct reviews of patent applications and related documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Utilize docketing software, with a preference for candidates experienced in Foundation IP.

• Research and interpret national and international patent laws to ensure proper handling of cases.

• Generate reports and maintain accurate records for all intellectual property matters.

• Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications and prosecution materials.

• Provide support for intellectual property litigation and enforcement activities, as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in patent docketing.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international patent laws and procedures.

• Proficiency with docketing databases, with preference given to experience using Foundation IP.

• Strong understanding of intellectual property concepts, particularly patents.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with legal teams and clients.
