Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to key accounting processes. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration to support growth and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process, including reviewing accounts, preparing accruals, performing variance analyses, and posting journal entries.

• Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to balance sheet accounts, ensuring data integrity.

• Analyze financial performance by comparing current and prior periods, identifying significant variances, and providing explanations.

• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Collaborate with auditors by preparing required documentation and supporting materials during internal and external audits.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

• Partner with operations, procurement, and management teams to deliver actionable financial insights.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and government regulations.

• Utilize advanced Excel tools and ERP systems, such as SAP, to perform detailed financial reporting and analysis. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

• Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operations-focused environment.

• Expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP systems, with prior experience using SAP or similar platforms.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
