Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our personal injury practice group. This is a fully remote role supporting a growing California based law firm. The ideal candidate must have extensive California litigation experience, but can work from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of litigation, focusing on asbestos and mass tort cases.

• Coordinate discovery processes, including drafting and serving responses, scheduling depositions, and managing document production.

• Prepare, format, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and trial submissions, adhering to local rules.

• Conduct e-filings in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court regulations.

• Liaise with clients, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.

• Maintain and organize client files, medical records, and litigation-related documents.

• Support trial preparation activities and assist in drafting settlement agreements.

• Monitor case deadlines and manage calendars to ensure timely submissions and compliance.

• Provide administrative and logistical assistance to attorneys during critical phases of litigation.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with asbestos or mass tort

• Comprehensive knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and court systems.

• Proficiency in e-filing platforms such as LexisNexis, with prior experience in filing within California counties.
