**DIVISION:** Enrollment Management
**DEPARTMENT:** Office of Financial Aid
**BASIC FUNCTION:** Maintain and manage both federal and private loan processes within PowerFAIDS in accordance with federal and institutional policies; Maintain and manage Federal Pell Grant processing in accordance with federal regulations; Work closely with the Office of Student Employment to manage FWS electronic processes for both PowerFAIDS and Workday; Student financial aid administration, Participate in the growth and development of the department and support financial aid office operations as needed; Promote safe and secure working conditions. Nights and weekends may be required during peak enrollment season and to support events being hosted by campus partners.

**EDUCATION:** Bachelor’s degree required
**EXPERIENCE:** 3+ years of related financial aid experience; demonstrated record of responsible and successful work in financial aid.
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL NEEDED:** Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state aid programs, processes and regulations; demonstrated knowledge and comfort utilizing various computer technologies and federal electronic programs; experience with PowerFaids and Workday preferred; excellent written and oral communications skills, including public speaking skills; possesses an administrative style that emphasizes collaboration and service with faculty, staff and students; ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently; keen attention to detail; ability to exercise independent judgement in the interpretation of office policies and procedure.
**REPORTS TO:** Executive Director, Financial Aid
•ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
**Develop and manage federal and private loan processes in accordance with federal and institutional policies.** This includes:
+ Maintain internal federal and private loan procedures for accuracy in accordance with federal and university regulations and align processing with the financial aid processing calendar,
+ Send/Receive COD files electronically to facilitate the awarding and disbursement of loan funds to student accounts,
+ Monitor PowerFAIDS output files in order to facilitate loan processing,
+ Send/Receive private loan files electronically to facilitate the awarding and disbursement of private loan funds via ElmSelect,
+ Maintain monthly loan reconciliation across systems: COD, ElmSelect, PowerFAIDS, and Workday,
+ Review cost of attendance prior to certifying loans to prevent overawards,
+ Collaborate with financial aid office staff to process loan changes,
+ Work with student accounts to process paper returns to lenders.
**Maintain and manage federal Pell grant processing in accordance with federal regulations.** This includes:
+ Maintain internal federal Pell grant processing procedures in accordance with federal regulations and align processing with the financial aid processing calendar,
+ Send/Receive Pell grant COD files electronically to facilitate the awarding and disbursement of pell grant funds to student accounts,
+ Monitor PowerFAIDS output files in order to facilitate grant processing,
+ Maintain monthly Pell grant reconciliation across systems: COD, PowerFAIDS and Workday.
**Manage Federal Work Study electronic processes.** This includes:
+ Manage FWS Payroll reconciliation weekly between Payroll and Financial Aid system – PowerFAIDS,
+ Oversee Reporting in Workday for FWS student earnings,
+ Weekly monitoring of Payroll integration files into PowerFAIDS,
+ Compiling FWS data for FISAP,
+ Managing integrations between Payroll and PowerFAIDS for annual student FWS earnings reporting to COD,
+ Manage the communications to FWS students from PowerFAIDS.
**Student financial aid administration.** This includes:
+ Responsible for a set of undergraduate student files,
+ Review and analyze student aid applications,
+ Complete institutional verification of CSS Profile application data,
+ Complete federal verification of FAFSA application data,
+ Award federal, state and university aid in accordance with all applicable policies,
+ Review satisfactory academic progress standings and notify students of failed progress,
+ Review and process financial aid appeals,
+ Counsel students and families on financing options,
+ Serves as Counselor of the Day when needed.
**Participates in the growth and development of the department.** This includes:
+ Communicating effectively with supervisor concerning pertinent departmental and University matters,
+ Promoting an image of efficiency and courtesy throughout the University community and consistent with the Office of Financial Aid,
+ Participating in departmental staff meetings as needed,
+ Participates in professional development opportunities with state and federal professional organizations,
+ Conducts staff trainings when necessary to support the job duty processes,
+ May be required to
