    Job Title: Director of Marketing

     

    Pay & FSLA Status: $125,000 to $175,000 (base + bonus), D.O.E.; Salary exempt

     

    Regular Schedule & Shift: Monday – Friday; Day shift

     

    Regular Weekly Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed)

     

    Paid Time Off (PTO ): 80 hours accrued year 1; 120 hours accrued annually after year 1

     

    Paid Sick Time: 40 hours annually

    Branch Location: Corporate office in Wilsonville, OR (hybrid flexible)

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue growth across all regions. This role leads the planning and implementation of marketing initiatives that align with sales objectives, support regional growth, and strengthen OrePac’s position as a leader in the building materials industry.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Lead and manage the marketing department in accordance with company policies and employment laws, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and resolution of personnel matters.

    + Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that combine traditional and digital channels to drive brand visibility, increase product awareness, and support business growth.

    + Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimize campaigns, and improve ROI.

    + Create and implement strategic marketing plans in collaboration with sales, product, and executive teams to support corporate growth objectives.

    + Oversee content development and brand communications across all channels, ensuring consistency with OrePac’s identity and market positioning, and tailoring messaging for regional and local audiences.

    + Gather and analyze market feedback and customer insights through engagement with stakeholders to refine marketing approaches and align product offerings with demand.

    + Manage and execute the annual marketing budget , allocating resources to maximize the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and achieve measurable outcomes.

    + Partner with branch leadership to develop and implement regional marketing and sales strategies that accelerate market penetration and outperform growth targets.

    + Build and lead regional field marketing and sales support structures , ensuring local alignment with national campaigns, and providing tactical guidance for campaign execution and event-based marketing.

    + Develop and maintain an annual marketing calendar that drives awareness, supports merchandising efforts, and aligns with key business milestones and initiatives.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    + B2B Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated success in senior-level marketing roles within B2B environments, with a strong grasp of brand positioning, customer engagement, and revenue-driven marketing strategies.

    + Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire high-performing teams. Skilled in conflict resolution, employee development, performance management, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

    + Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Capable of translating market insights into actionable strategies that drive growth and ROI.

    + Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft persuasive messaging, present to senior leaders or customers, and produce clear reports and content for varied audiences.

    + Problem Solving & Adaptability: Effective at resolving complex challenges with sound judgment. Able to prioritize, adapt to shifting priorities, and lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

    + Technology Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote), Google Suite, CRM systems, and marketing analytics platforms. Familiarity with AI tools for marketing strategy and project management is a plus.

    + Project & Time Management: Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality outcomes and meeting deadlines.

    + Customer & Results Orientation: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with a focus on delivering measurable marketing outcomes that align with business goals.

    + Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions, consistently modeling ethical behavior.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

    + 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in strategic roles with direct people management responsibilities.

    + Experience in the building materials, construction, or manufacturing sectors and certifications in digital marketing, project management, or related disciplines is strongly preferred but not required.

    + Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    + Regularly required to see, talk, and hear . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.

    + Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

    + Occasionally required to lift/move/manipulate up to 50 pounds and team lift/move/manipulate up to 100 pounds.

    + Occasionally required to bend, reach, and climb tall ladders and stairs.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    + This position operates in a professional office environment.

    + This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

    + The work environment is generally quiet.
