Experience collaborating with contractors or vendors on AV installations.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in AV environments.

Iowa State University is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Audiovisual Systems Programmer to join our team. If you're excited about working with integrated AV systems that support digital signage, lecture capture, and large-scale learning environments, this is your opportunity to make a campus-wide impact.
What You’ll Do:
+ Design, program, and configure audiovisual control systems and audio DSPs for diverse campus applications—from huddle rooms to large lecture halls.
+ Develop custom code to automate and optimize AV solutions using control system platforms.
+ Serve as a technical resource for digital signage, lecture capture, and wireless sharing systems across campus.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment, including diagnosing complex multi-issue problems and ensuring alignment with campus AV standards.
+ Take ownership of assigned AV standards and collaborate with contractors and vendors to implement technology solutions.
+ Research and evaluate emerging AV technologies to inform future upgrades and university AV strategy.
+ You’ll work closely with campus stakeholders, IT professionals, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and long-term functionality of AV systems in both academic and administrative spaces.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage technical documentation and maintain system standards.
