    Job Description:

    Are you passionate about helping students find their place and purpose in higher education? The Office of Admissions at Iowa State University is seeking a Student Recruiter II to specialize in recruiting transfer students—primarily from community colleges in Iowa and surrounding states. In this role, you’ll be the face of Iowa State to prospective students and their families, forming meaningful connections that support students through their journey to Cyclone Nation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in communication, values collaboration, and is driven by results in a fast-paced, student-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage a designated recruitment territory using data-driven strategies.

    + Utilize systems like Salesforce, Workday Student, and DocFinity for recruitment efforts.

    + Communicate with prospective transfer students throughout the admissions process.

    + Build and maintain relationships with counselors, advisors, and campus/community partners.

    + Host virtual student meetings and collaborate with external organizations.

    + Attend college visits, fairs, and recruitment events on and off campus.

    + Travel during peak seasons and handle related administrative tasks.

    + Use data to inform outreach and explore creative recruitment methods.

    + Serve as Main Point of Contact and give enrollment presentations.

    + Stay informed on university programs, policies, and procedures.

    + Innovate to boost student engagement and enhance service.

    + Mentor new staff in recruitment and travel planning.

    + Help create and update recruitment materials and documentation.

    + Travel as needed to support broader recruitment goals.

    + Assist with key admissions events and campus-wide programs.

    • Recruits prospective students from high schools and community colleges.

    • Serves as school ambassador to outside groups.
