    Position Summary

    Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

    • Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

    • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

    • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum Education

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Medical Assistant required. Other Certificate from a college in Medical Assistant in lieu of Associate's required

    Required Skills

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    Certifications:

    Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant required

    Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
