    Job Description

    CoStar Group Company Intro:

CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. Included in the S&P 500 Index and the NASDAQ 100, CoStar Group is on a mission to digitize the world’s real estate, empowering all people to discover properties, insights and connections that improve their businesses and lives.

We have been living and breathing the world of real estate information and online marketplaces for over 37 years, giving us the perspective to create truly unique and valuable offerings to our customers. We’ve continually refined, transformed, and perfected our approach to our business, creating a language that has become standard in our industry, for our customers, and even our competitors. We continue that effort today and are always working to improve and drive innovation. This is how we deliver for our customers, our employees, and investors. By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.

    Role Description:

We’re seeking an analytically minded, intellectually curious self-starter to elevate our digital marketing performance through data-driven insights and strategic web analytics.

As the **Senior Web Analyst** within the marketing department, you’ll be the go-to expert for digital data strategy and insights. You will lead the development, implementation, and management of our web analytics infrastructure, tagging strategies, and performance reporting. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tracking, insightful reporting, and continuous optimization of our digital efforts.

We are seeking a hands-on, collaborative web analytics professional ideally within B2B or SaaS marketing environments. The ideal candidate will be fluent in web analytics tools and methodologies, capable of quickly contributing to our digital marketing efforts while continuing to grow their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced team.

    Responsibilities:

+ Partner with stakeholders to identify business objectives, define KPIs, and develop analytics solutions that support performance tracking and decision-making.

+ Own end-to-end web analytics strategy—including platform implementation, tag management, data governance, privacy compliance, and reporting.

+ Manage and optimize tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, and LogRocket to track user behavior, campaign performance, and conversion paths.

+ Build custom dashboards and reports using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and backend tools (e.g., SQL, Python) to answer complex business questions and understand customer journeys.

+ Develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines and datasets in BigQuery for reporting, marketing attribution, and lead scoring.

+ Build and implement custom JavaScript tracking (via GTM) to capture detailed user interactions and enrich event data.

+ Design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to evaluate site changes, optimize user experience, and inform marketing strategy.

+ Provide actionable insights and recommendations to marketing teams to drive campaign success and improve ROI.

+ Act as the internal champion for a “test and learn” culture within digital marketing.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for external digital analytics or advertising vendors.

    Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university, Masters preferred.

+ A track record of commitment to prior employers.

+ 5+ years of hands-on web analytics experience required; ideally in a B2B or SaaS marketing environment.

+ Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics, with experience managing accounts, properties, and tracking structures.

+ Deep understanding of Google Tag Manager—especially creating/editing tags, triggers, and variables.

+ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio).

+ Strong working knowledge of SQL; experience with Python is a plus.

+ Demonstrated success with conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, and statistical hypothesis testing.

+ Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.

+ Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across teams, proactively aligns analytics efforts with business goals, and translates complex data into clear, actionable insights.

    What’s in it for you?

When you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.

We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives. CoStar Group also invests in your professional and academic growth with internal training, tuition reimbursement, and an inter-office exchange program.

Our benefits package includes (but is not limited to):

+ Comprehensive healthcare coverage: Medical / Vision / Dental / Prescription Drug

+ Virtual and in-person mental health counseling services for individuals and family

    + Commuter and parking benefits

    + Employee stock purchase plan

    + Paid time off

    + Tuition reimbursement

+ On-site fitness center and/or reimbursed fitness center membership costs (location dependent)

+ Access to CoStar Group’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Employee Resource Groups

+ Complimentary gourmet coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, and other healthy snacks
