Job Description
Leads and guides Respiratory Therapists. Leads therapists in providing respiratory therapy as prescribed by a Physician. Leads the process of preparing, operating and maintaining respiratory care equipment.
Job Responsibility
+ Performs pulmonary function testing including FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV as ordered by physician
+ Performs methacholine challenge testing
+ Performs 6 minute walk tests
+ Performs exhaled nitric oxide testing
+ Performs sputum induction using appropriate infection control methods
+ Provides patient education regarding use of pulmonary medications and airway clearance techniques, and documents education visits
+ Maintains testing equipment
+ Generates reports documenting the interpretation of pulmonary function tests
+ Performs other duties as appropriate
Job Qualification
+ Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
+ Current License to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in New York State, and Current Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) Certification in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
+ 5-7 years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $79,880-$136,340/year
