    We're seeking a high-energy, results-driven freight brokerage Account Manager to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you'll source, build, and manage shipper and carrier relationships, driving volume and margin in key van, flatbed, and power-only lanes.

     

    This is a critical market for CRST—with ample existing infrastructure, regional freight density, and access to top agent talent. You'll be on the ground floor of a major expansion—with the backing of CRST’s national brand and platform.

     

    **Work Location:** On Site - 200 Republic St, Birmingham, AL 35214

    **Job Schedule:** Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, flexible based on business needs

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Build & manage a portfolio of shippers across van, flatbed, and brokerage operations

    + Prospect new business daily through cold calls, referrals, and CRM tools

    + Negotiate pricing and contracts, manage spot and dedicated opportunities, and hit margin targets

    + Partner with agents and internal ops to execute freight seamlessly and scale volume over time

    + Track KPIs weekly, forecast revenue pipeline, and identify new modal or geographic opportunities

    Ideal Experience & Skill Set:

    + Prior experience in freight brokerage and 3pl sales is a plus; however, we welcome applicants who are open to training and development

    + High-energy, goal-oriented, and thrives under pressure

    + Excellent negotiation, communication, and CRM skills

    + A strong knowledge of freight lanes is highly desirable

    + Grit, hustle, and a builder’s mentality

    Requirements:

    + Highschool Diploma or GED

    + Associate's degree or higher in Business or a related field, preferred
