    Job Description:

    Role Summary/Purpose:

    The Vice President, Verizon Marketing Leader role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics to achieve Synchrony growth metrics as well as critical partner priorities. This individual will work collaboratively with the General Manager, Field Sales Leader, Analytics Leader and cross-functional stakeholders, along with the partner organization, to acquire new accounts and drive card usage. This role will be responsible for leading and developing a direct team as well as coordinating a broader shared-services team.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Partner with Verizon and the Synchrony client team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual growth plans; lead vision planning and ensure program growth planning clarity

    + Lead and develop team of client marketing professionals, including both a direct team and a broader shared services team with dedicated resources

    + Maintain and cultivate key relationships at senior levels of the partner organization; expand relationships to deepen the overall program ties and broaden reach

    + Understand and incorporate Verizon's key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve set objectives

    + Optimize contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals; ensure smart growth and leverage efficiencies to help deliver profitable growth

    + Identify segments to target for both program and partner growth; test and implement programs to grow these segments leveraging a dynamic promotional offer strategy

    + Manage all aspects of the value proposition and new cardholder acquisition offer, including tracking industry trends, competitor's and customer experience metrics.

    + Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements with sensitivity to rewards cost

    + Drive program to deliver effective growth in an omni-channel environment. Ensure digital assets are in place and optimized, push for cutting edge thinking and agenda, deliver innovative new strategies in alignment with partner positioning

    + Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics versus plan. Lead the portfolio reviews as a part of the Synchrony Financial planning cycle, including semi-annual checkpoints

    + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries

    + A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience to include: 4 years of managerial responsibility for both organizations and other professionals

    + 4 years of demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products

    + 4 years of experience with digital channels - online and mobile

    + Ability to travel as needed

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Advanced degree (MS, MBA)

    + Marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries

    + Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure

    + Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills

    + Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results

    + Consumer finance experience and related industry experience

     

    Grade/Level: 14

     

    The salary range for this position is **150,000.00 - 250,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

     

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + You must be 18 years or older

    + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
