What you'll do Under limited supervision of the Director the Supervisor of Distribution is responsible for the effective, successful management of staff and services of all Distribution and Transportation operations. This position is responsible for liaison between Distribution and inventory management and will serve as liaison between Distribution and all other departments. Duties involve coordinating workflow, analyzing requirements and ordering all pertinent supplies relative to customer education and services, for Distribution and Transportation. Communicates daily with the Director while reporting any difficulties encountered that may affect the scheduling of receiving and material distribution. Works closely will all end-user departments (Inpatient, Clinic, OR, Nursing, etc.) to assure appropriate supervision of staff and fulfillment of supply chain and patient equipment management requirements. Assures completion of daily assigned tasks. Supervise all Inventory Clerks and Warehouse Associates, in their respective functions of receiving, scanning, stocking, distribution, to provide excellent customer service to all of Bassett Healthcare Network. Work directly with department leaders to develop and maintain departmental structure and operational procedures to meet program demands. Coordinates subspecialty teams and processes in hospital, clinic, OR, ED et al, while facilitating best practice standards and protocol Develops and monitors operational procedures and performance standards which ensure safe, effective and efficient daily operations Provides direction to ensure appropriate resource availability Develops strategies and implements objectives to ensure efficient and effective performance that correlated with the institutional annual operating plan Monitors and reports division or clinic performance related to established objectives Assists in developing a staffing structure that supports department and division objectives in providing a high level of standard of supply chain services Develops a staff schedule to meet divisional or clinic needs Provides direction to ensure appropriate distribution of staffing resources Assists in staff selection through the interview process Participates in retention-related activities Assesses, develops and implements plan for staff training, orientation, development and education Assists in developing benchmark data and staffing model for core staffing needs Supervises, assesses performance, and provides feedback and direction to relative Team Leaders and front-line staff Will present a professional, courteous manger in 100% of dealings with all Ensures compliance with procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. Develops and implements divisional protocols and policies Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency requirements in conjunction with department managers/directors Ensures compliance with divisional, departmental and institutional policies and protocols in conjunction with the director Proactively identifies safety-related issues, addresses identified issues and institutes procedures which minimize risks to patients and staff Reports and acts to correct compliance and risk related issues Assists in developing policy or protocol within the division, assesses effectiveness of established policies Effectively manages financial resources in support of division and institutional objectives Reallocate and prioritize resources Develops and implements expense control and efficiency mechanisms Establishes and maintains effective performance improvement processes within the division Identifies areas for performance improvement, plans, acts and evaluates effectiveness of improvement measures Tracks and reports performance improvement activities as appropriate and/or required by institutional guidelines Monitor inventory and investigate any discrepancies, reports to management and inventory control specialist Performs other duties as requested and observed by manager and/or director What we need from you Education: High School or GED, required 2 Year/Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years Warehouse or distribution management, supervisory, or group leader experience, required Minimum 2 years Healthcare supply chain experience, preferred Minimum 2 years Inventory Management System/UKG system experience, preferred Licensure/Certifications: Valid, Clean NYS Driver's License. Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement. Pay Range Minimum: USD $23.78/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $35.66/Hr.
