    Position Summary:Oversee and coordinate efforts to develop and maintain the RRH Emergency Management program, to ensure the safety of employees, patients, residents, and visitors, and facilities.Key Responsibilities:• Responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the Emergency Management plan, which identifies and monitors protection goals, tactics, and metrics consistent with best practices.• Coordinate with local officials, non-profit organization and government agencies as required.• Oversees the establishment and ongoing development of appropriate emergency planning standards, policies, and procedures.• Develops and delivers education and training programs that foster emergency preparedness, awareness, and minimize workplace violence.• Insures that Comprehensive Emergency Plans exist within RRH, and that they meet all emergency requirements for NYS, TJC, The Federal government, and OSHA.• Develop and deliver education and training programs to insure continuous compliance.• Serves as a resource to departmental leaders to insure that business interruption plans are developed and kept current.• Plans and coordinates ongoing emergency planning drills and other exercises as needed. Facilitate debriefings and prepare action plans as needed and required.• Responds and assists at emergency incidents as appropriate. Facilitate debriefings and prepare action plans as appropriate.• Oversees the Emergency Preparedness Committee.• Monitors employee satisfaction and is responsible for managing an annual action plan related to continuously improving satisfaction.• Seeks out and employs innovative ways to identify and address organizational emergency preparedness.• Works with senior leaders to prioritize emergency preparedness initiatives and spending and incorporates them into the annual Emergency Preparedness Plan.• Serves as the key emergency management resource on a variety of committees.• Works collaboratively with and maintains positive relationships with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies, regulatory and related government agencies on all issues related to emergency preparedness.• Manages the department within annual operating budgets and assists RRH with the identification of annual capital needs related to system-wide emergency preparedness.• Is subject to 24- hour call, 7 days a week.• Performs duties as directed.Desired Attributes:Prior emergency management experience (or related field), in excess of 5 yrs.Strong analytical, computer, problem solving and communication skills.Able to deal well with people, problem solve, to appropriately confront issues, to motivate others as individuals and as a group and to plan, organize and direct the activities of others.1-3 Years experience preferred.Minimum Requirements:• Education of Associates required - with Bachelors preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    $60,500.00 - $80,000.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
