    SUMMARY

    Directs and provides coordination, training, and scheduling of assigned personnel. Ensure certifications, plant equipment and systems are maintained in accordance with technical specifications, plant procedures, policies and NRC & INPO guidelines. Coordinates activities between craft disciplines, support groups, operations, outage, and training.

    EDUCATION

    + High School/GED or equivalent (Required)

    EXPERIENCE

    Must meet one of these requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree and 6 years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have a minimum of 4 years’ technical expertise in a related discipline to provide technical directions to craft personnel.

    + Associates degree and 7 years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have a minimum of 4 years’ technical expertise in a related discipline to provide technical directions to craft personnel.

    + Without a degree, 8 Years power plant experience, of which, at least one year shall be nuclear plant experience. The individual shall have a minimum of 4 years’ technical expertise in a related discipline to provide technical directions to craft personnel. (Required)

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

    + There is no Licensure or Certifications required

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    _MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR DUTIES:_

    Provides technical and administrative oversight of personnel to ensure assigned systems, backlog, modifications/enhancements, and reliability are maintained in accordance with station expectations and regulatory requirements.

     

    + Develops and schedules on-line work activities to ensure coordination between plant equipment, parts, and skilled personnel availability.

    + Develops and schedules outage work activities to ensure coordination with Operations, support groups and assigned personnel to allow activities to be completed in a SAFE, timely and efficient manner.

    + Develops and enforces policies, regulations, procedures, contracts, and expectations to ensure plant safety, security and reliability are maintained.

    + Provides technical and administrative support/oversight of assessments, outage preparations, event reviews and business plan implementation.

    + Develops and implements action plans for Limited Conditions of Operation, high priority scheduled and emergent plant activities.

    + Performs work order planning and detailed work instructions to support the needs of the plant.

    + Participates on selected committees and work teams and facilitates and implements craft programs and meetings to ensure continuous improvement.

    _PEOPLE MANAGEMENT MAINTENANCE SUPV:_

    + Ensures development plans are in place and followed.

    + Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals).

    + Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).

    + Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.

    + Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.

    + Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.

    + Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.

    + Understands and implements company policies.

    + Provides employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments.

    _TRAINING DUTIES - MAINT SUPV:_

    Develops, monitors, evaluates, and conducts formal classroom and on the job training to ensure employee skills and abilities support plant needs.

     

    + Enforces qualification standards in accordance with technical specifications, plant procedures, policies and NRC & INPO guidelines.

    + Observes and evaluates training, reinforces training expectations, provides feedback, and addresses performance shortfalls as needed.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Accept ERO position as needed.

    + Accept outage position as needed

    + Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.

    + Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.

    Environmental & Physical Requirements

    + Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

    + Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

    + Travel may be required.

    + May be required to carry a phone.

    WORK LOCATION

    + Site – Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
