    Job Title: Contracts AdministratorJob Description

     

    The Contracts Administrator is responsible for overseeing all contractual aspects of a project, from bid preparation through to successful completion. This includes identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, as well as managing claims with customers and suppliers. In this role, the candidate must efficiently handle multiple topics, prioritize tasks, and foster positive relationships with both internal and external customers. The individual will lead issue resolution under the guidance of the Director, Commercial and Risk Management.

    Responsibilities

    + Review all sales contracts and identify risks during the bid stage prior to a binding offer.

    + Ensure full understanding, analysis, and assessment of all contractual conditions of tenders.

    + Assist the Project Team on all commercial topics by developing strategies to limit, restrict, or transfer company risk exposure.

    + Support the project team in claim identification and preparation, developing claim and negotiation strategies.

    + Assist the Procurement team in preparing P.O. terms and conditions as needed.

    + Compile and write training material, conducting sessions on claim management and contractual risk and mitigation strategies.

    + Manage issuance and maintenance of required contractual securities and insurance policies related to contracts.

    + Handle cyber security topics in collaboration with corporate departments as necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in contracts and risk management.

    + Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

    + Understanding of contractual claims and negotiation practices in the manufacturing or construction industry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to strategically assess contract risks and opportunities.

    + Superior writing, organizational, and strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Access.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to conduct interviews, analyze and compile documentation.

    + Capability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

    + Understanding of legal and technical aspects of contracts.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This office-based position is located at a manufacturing facility, operating Monday through Friday during first shift hours.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
