We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Title Clerk to accurately process automotive titles for lending partners. The role involves reviewing and auditing loan and title documents, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with state-specific title laws and lien perfection requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Accurately process automotive titles for lending partners.
+ Review and audit loan and title documents using a Queue system to manage tasks.
+ Provide excellent customer service through outbound and inbound calls, voicemails, emails, and text messages to obtain missing documentation.
+ Learn, understand, and navigate state-specific title laws and requirements for perfecting liens.
+ Document details in the system as required by policy and procedures.
+ Identify potential fraud or 'red flags' and escalate situations when necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ 2+ years of experience in automobile loan and title processing.
+ Experience processing titles directly.
+ Ability to explain title processing in Indiana and other states.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective listening skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the automotive industry, auto loans, and title documentation.
+ Data entry and clerical skills with proficiency in Excel.
+ Administrative and customer service experience.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite 100% of the time due to the confidential nature of documents and the need to comply with regulations for safeguarding vendor and customer information. The office features open cubicles, dual monitors, ample filing and storage space, and personal space. The newly expanded space includes conference rooms, a large training area, and two kitchenettes. The work schedule offers flexibility with start times between 7:30 and 8:30 am, provided an eight-hour shift is completed. The work culture is professional yet fun, emphasizing work-life balance without overtime. Fridays end at 4 pm, and team-building activities are regularly implemented.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
