    Fraud Specialist

    Job Description

    As a Fraud Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing high-risk clients and transactions identified through fraud defense programs, ensuring repeat offenders are properly identified and high-risk transactions are prevented. You will handle inbound fraud concerns and escalations reported through clients and internal partners via phone and email channels, ensuring timely investigation and resolution to minimize losses and exposure. Excellent partnership and communication skills are crucial as this is a client-facing role.

    Responsibilities

    + Review high-risk clients and transactions to prevent fraudulent activities.

    + Handle inbound fraud concerns and escalations, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.

    + Coordinate with financial institutions to freeze bank accounts and recover illicit funds.

    + Submit letters of Indemnification and follow through with investigation results with banks and clients.

    + Analyze and track reported cases of check fraud, including counterfeit checks and forged endorsements.

    + Provide guidance and protocol to field partners for resolving fraud incidents.

    + Assist internal partners and clients with exposure of personally identifiable information, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

    + Evaluate and mitigate risk for clients who fail authentication screening at onboarding.

    + Enter and track fraud cases into a central repository for trending, reporting, and information sharing.

    + Support Fraud Investigators in potential criminal actions.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in fraud prevention and investigation.

    + Strong knowledge of banking and financial operations.

    + Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

    + Understanding of compliance regulations.

    + Ability to manage fraudulent activity effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Economic Investigation, Finance, Business - Required.

    + 1 year of experience in fraud, investigations, banking, compliance, business, finance.

    Work Environment

    The role is 100% onsite with working hours from 11:00 AM EST to 8:00 PM. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to upholding security and compliance standards in a fast-paced environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
