Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and development efforts within our Engineering team, specializing in custom lighting systems. This role involves selecting topologies to maximize efficiency, performance, and minimize size and cost, while validating concepts through design calculations and simulations.

Responsibilities

+ Select topology to maximize efficiency, performance, and minimize size and cost.

+ Validate concepts by design calculations and simulations.

+ Engage with high voltage and high-power converters/inverters.

+ Utilize working knowledge of EMI, transformers, semiconductor switches, and PWM schemes.

+ Employ strong experience in modeling using Pspice, PLECS, and Matlab/Simulink.

+ Apply expertise in schematic capture and high voltage, high-speed PCB layout using Altium Designer.

+ Participate actively in a lab environment with hands-on experience.

+ Collaborate effectively as a team player with open communication and brainstorming.

+ Focus on creating superior designs for high-quality products.

+ Work independently and as part of a team, clearly communicating ideas.

+ Develop real-world products from concept to production stages.

Essential Skills

+ Circuit design and power supply expertise.

+ Electrical engineering with emphasis on power supply design.

+ PCB design, including high voltage applications.

+ Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and manufacturing.

+ Experience with circuit simulation using Pspice, LT Spice, and Matlab/Simulink.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.

+ Experience in power supply and circuit design.

+ Proficiency in CAD software for PCB design.

+ Knowledge of constant current drivers.

Work Environment

The role is based 100% onsite, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. You will work primarily in an office setting with occasional tasks on the manufacturing floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.11/hr.
