    Job Description

    in software systems engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices to analyze, trace, and validate software-related requirements across complex systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intersection of software architecture, system modeling, and requirements engineering, and can bridge the gap between high-level system needs and detailed software implementations.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain MBSE models that represent software architectures, interfaces, and behaviors, enabling traceability between government and client requirements to System Component Specification Models (CSMs), with a focus on software modules, APIs, and service interactions.

    + Identify gaps between software-related requirements and system components, especially in areas involving code-level functionality, integration points, and system behavior.

    + Conduct standalone analysis projects involving software system decomposition, interface definition, and behavioral modeling.

    + Reconcile discrepancies between different sets of software requirements, ensuring functional completeness, performance alignment, and compliance with software standards.

    + Collaborate with software developers, architects, and stakeholders to communicate technical insights related to software design patterns, system states, and control logic.

    + Manage multiple projects involving software-intensive systems, ensuring timely delivery and technical accuracy.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in MBSE modeling, with a focus on software systems and architectures.

    + Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools.

    + Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.

    + Strong understanding of UML/SysML, including state machines, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.

    + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex software-system interactions clearly.

    + Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving software integration and modeling challenges.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with embedded software, real-time systems, or mission-critical applications.

    + Familiarity with software certification standards (e.g., DO-178C, ISO/IEC).

    + Knowledge of avionics software integration, including middleware, RTOS, and communication protocols.

    + Experience with networked systems, TSN, or distributed software architectures.

    Work Environment

    This position requires onsite work at the Bell Helicopter facility in Fort Worth, where collaboration with various teams is essential. The work environment involves utilizing advanced MBSE tools and technologies, ensuring a dynamic and technically engaging atmosphere.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $135000.00/hr.
