Job Title: Embedded Software Intern
Job Description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Intern to contribute to New Product Development (NPD) projects. As an Embedded Software Intern, you will support our software team in the documentation, development, and testing of proprietary electronic controls for hydronic heating and water heating systems.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the documentation, development, and testing of embedded software for electronic controls.
+ Collaborate with the software team to enhance product development processes.
+ Engage in debugging and troubleshooting of hardware components.
+ Work with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, SPI, I2C, and UART.
+ Read and interpret electronic schematics.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in C++ programming.
+ Familiarity with embedded systems and software development.
+ Basic understanding of computer architecture and hardware components.
+ Experience with debugging software and hardware.
+ Ability to use MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
+ Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
+ Knowledge of ARM and Microchip microcontrollers.
+ Experience developing embedded applications in a Linux environment or on RTOS.
+ Experience with Qt5 IDE or similar development environments.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong working relationships with internal teams.
Work Environment
The position operates within a manufacturing setting with a business casual dress code. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a growing industry with a long-standing client partnership.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
