Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, testing, and documentation within an Agile environment. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, including government customers, and involves working on-site at a customer location outside of Redstone Arsenal.
Responsibilities
+ Write code in C++ and other relevant languages.
+ Create and run unit tests to ensure software quality.
+ Develop comprehensive software documentation.
+ Perform test planning, monitoring, and execution of test activities.
+ Review and verify both system level and software level requirements.
+ Develop and execute automated software test cases in a CI/CD pipeline.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders and government customers.
+ Work within an Agile team environment, participating in iteration planning, feature and story development, sprint planning, and iteration retrospectives.
+ Participate in demos for the team and program sprint reviews.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field and 9+ years of related experience.
+ Active Secret Security Clearance.
+ Proficiency in C++ and software development.
+ Familiarity with automated software requirements testing and analysis.
+ Experience with software containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
+ Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
+ Understanding of modeling and simulation.
+ Ability to support an in-person/closed-area work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience using DevSecOps tools and methods (e.g., Ansible, Git/Gitlab).
+ Experience with Agile project management tools (Jira/Confluence).
+ Experience in product owner or scrum master roles.
+ Experience developing automation tools and test cases.
+ Highly experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations.
+ Prior experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs and/or systems.
Work Environment
This position requires working on-site at a customer site. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, offering a balanced work-life routine. The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, utilizing modern tools and technologies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
