    Job Summary

    The Utility A Start position is a bargaining unit position which requires a general knowledge and ability to perform basic construction related tasks and Utility tasks such as, but not limited to; responding to leak/CO complaints when qualified, building and installing single and multiple meter sets up to AL 425, basic pipe fitting, meter changes, MRSLIP investigates, service installations, leak pinpointing and repair, meter turn-ons, inspecting UGI Contractor crews, PA One Call locates when qualified, complying with all Company safety standards, responding to callout when qualified, after hours work and exposure to all weather conditions.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Build and install meter sets and basic pipe fitting

    + Complete turn ons and light ups

    + Meter reading and complete MRSLIP investigations

    + Leak pinpointing and repairs, service installations

    + Inspect UGI Contractor crews, PA One Call locates, respond to leak/CO complaints when qualified and perform other duties as requested and callout when qualified

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    + Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license

    + Good mechanical or pipefitting skills

    + Good verbal and written communication skills

    + Basic computer skills a plus

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + High School Diploma or equivalent
