Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting electronic schematics and have a solid understanding of circuit functions. This role involves modifying legacy PCB designs and ensuring accuracy between schematics and PCBs.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret electronic schematics, including component specifications.

+ Compare schematics with PCBs to identify discrepancies.

+ Modify legacy PCB designs by reviewing and approving designs or identifying issues.

+ Create mockup diagrams for products.

+ Debug and test the electronics portion of the product.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with reading and interpreting schematics and component specifications.

+ Understanding of circuit functions beyond signal recognition.

+ Proficiency with switchers and switching power supplies.

+ Experience using microcontrollers and understanding protocols such as Ethernet, USB, and I2C.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with products that feature display systems such as LCDs, LED displays, or touchscreens.

+ Familiarity with SolidWorks.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site in Carson, CA, with a work schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. As part of the Electrical Engineering department, you will collaborate with a small team of three engineers and interact with various departments including testing and manufacturing. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
