The Production Training Specialist is responsible for performing technical documentation duties, developing training programs, organizing GMP training documents, and managing special projects for the Operations team. This role involves creating and maintaining innovative training and evaluation programs to minimize errors, boost productivity, and enhance safety awareness. The specialist will coordinate introductory training for new employees and support on-the-job trainers for promoted employees transitioning into new roles. Additionally, this position requires assisting in the review, creation, and updating of SOP documents for all departments and identifying training needs to propose corrective actions for operational staff.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain innovative training and evaluation programs across the organization.
+ Perform and/or coordinate introductory training for new employees and enhance training for promoted employees.
+ Assist in the review, creation, and updating of SOP documents for all departments.
+ Identify training needs and propose corrective actions for operational staff.
+ Organize GMP/Regulatory training documentation, collaborating with quality and EHS departments.
+ Maintain employee training records.
+ Serve as a backup to the operations department for floor duties as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in training development, GMP, and chemical processing.
+ Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
+ Skill in developing and interpreting training documents.
+ Proficiency in presenting information professionally and knowledgeably.
+ Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ AS Degree or advanced training in an administrative or technical field (science, process operations) desirable.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial/operations setting in a regulated (GMP) environment.
+ Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations and EHS guidelines.
+ 1-2 years in a training-focused role, including experience with training needs assessment and adult learning techniques.
+ Proficiency in MS Office skills.
Work Environment
The position operates within a standard day shift environment from Monday to Friday, with training days requiring arrival by 6:30 AM and departure after 8.5 hours (3:00 PM). Some overtime may be expected. The work is primarily office-based, with occasional interaction with operators on the floor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
