    We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician who can efficiently manage multiple tasks and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. This role requires strong color and olfactory evaluation skills, sound project management abilities, and a high level of competence with all test equipment. The technician will be responsible for testing experimental formulations, preparing chemical solutions, and ensuring the lab's organization is maintained.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently.

    + Conduct color and olfactory evaluations to assess samples.

    + Test all experimental formulations and prepare chemical solutions following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.

    + Prepare and test customer samples while maintaining organization throughout the lab.

    + Maintain and ensure all test equipment is in proper working condition.

    + Enter data for the development of materials and other projects.

    + Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and environmental protection policies for handling and disposing of chemicals.

    + Execute lab test batches and color matching, maintaining accurate records in laboratory notebooks and project files.

    + Inspect products at various stages of the manufacturing process to maintain quality and reliability.

    + Perform color matching and test the dispersibility of new raw materials.

    + Prepare ASTM slabs and Certificates of Analysis as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Chemistry knowledge

    + Laboratory experience

    + Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)

    + Quality control expertise

    + Wet chemistry proficiency

    + Understanding of ISO 9001 standards

    + Ability to compile and evaluate statistical data

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong project management skills

    + Data entry proficiency

    + Ability to set daily plans for optimal use of testing equipment

    + Experience in maintaining customer certification files

    Work Environment

    This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment includes both office and manufacturing/lab areas, with noise levels ranging from low to moderate in the office and moderate to high in the manufacturing/lab area. The team consists of a small group of five individuals. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The role involves moving objects within the manufacturing areas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
