    Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

    Job Description

    Design and develop land development projects in Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties of Maryland. Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create design concepts and plans focusing on site layout, water and sewer mains, roads, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans. Provide assistance to team members and management to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

    Responsibilities

    + Design site layouts and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

    + Develop water, sewer, and road designs.

    + Create soil erosion and sedimentation control plans.

    + Conduct floodplain studies and grading plans.

    + Collaborate with team members and management to meet department objectives.

    + Visit client sites and participate in project management tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

    + 2-5 years of experience in designing with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.

    + Knowledge of Montgomery County permits.

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

    + Ability to work independently and in a group.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + E.I.T. certification preferred.

    + Experience in private land development preferred but not required.

    + Proficiency in site grading, storm drainage, paving plans, and stormwater management.

    + Knowledge of drainage and floodplain studies.

    + Experience with water and sewer plans.

    + Local candidates preferred.

    Offering services in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, and Land Planning throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. With nearly 45 years of successful projects, the work environment includes urban designs, streetscapes, commercial, multi-use, institutional, parks, recreation, and high-end residential developments. The company values internal promotions and provides financial support for obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Employees have access to a company truck for fieldwork.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
