Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge products that positively impact our customers. You will utilize your technical expertise, engage your problem-solving skills, and work as a member of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to conduct testing and evaluation of product prototypes to various company and national standards.

+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and meeting project deadlines.

+ Maintain a keen attention to detail to prepare complete records of tests conducted, procedures used, and testing results, specifically reporting any unusual results that may affect test outcomes.

+ Utilize knowledge and experience in the safe operation of laboratory equipment and adherence to ISO procedures.

+ Participate in laboratory and equipment maintenance and calibration tasks in accordance with laboratory policy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools, testing equipment, and/or programming.

Work Environment

This position is located in the testing lab for the Plumbing division, where you will use water and other substances to test plumbing, fixtures, and toilets. You will be responsible for installing and setting up products to be tested in testing fixtures, initiating tests, and monitoring for proper operation according to test procedures. You will also breakdown and submit test data in an Excel spreadsheet.

The team consists of about 12-16 individuals, some working in the faucets lab and others on toilets or bath. It is a clean environment, with shelves of toilets connected to computers and about 100 faucets being turned on and off. This role involves a lot of standing and bending over to hook up and test equipment. Candidates will need to be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
