    **Job Title:** Scraper Operator – Earthwork & Grading (PER DIEM)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced Scraper Operator to join our earthwork and grading team. The operator will be responsible for cutting to grade by driving across terrain and using the scraper to collect and relocate soil. The primary objective is to level the ground in preparation for fine grading by Finish Dozer operators.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Operate scraper equipment to cut and move earth to grade specifications.

    + Perform daily pre-operation and end-of-day inspections of the machine.

    + Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.

    + Work collaboratively with the grading and dozer teams to ensure smooth project execution.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    Work Schedule:

    + Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    + Occasional Saturdays may be required based on workload and weather conditions.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    + Proven experience operating scrapers in a commercial or civil construction setting.

    + Strong understanding of grading, earthmoving, and site preparation.

    + Familiarity with heavy equipment such as belly scrapers, haul trucks, utility tractors, and off-road dump trucks.

    + Ability to work independently and take accountability for equipment and tasks.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Valid driver’s license preferred.

    + Candidates eligible to be insured on company vehicles may have opportunities to travel to job sites nationwide.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
