    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    In this role, you will inspect sheet metal parts using a variety of basic quality tools, including micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges. You will utilize blueprints to perform and execute quality checks on machine and fabricated parts, and you will also handle general quality documentation and paperwork.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct inspections of sheet metal parts using basic quality tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.

    + Read and interpret blueprints frequently to ensure accurate quality checks.

    + Perform general quality documentation and paperwork.

    + Work in an ISO 9001:2008/AS9100 regulated environment.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of recent experience as a quality inspector in a sheet metal fabrication environment.

    + Experience working in an ISO regulated shop.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Knowledge in quality inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6+ months of basic quality inspection experience.

    + Previous experience with sheet metal is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a medium-sized room located right off the manufacturing floor, with your own desk in the department. The position is on the first shift, running from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 6:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays. Additional hours are standard after the shift, on Friday afternoons, and occasionally on Saturdays. This is a 90-day contract leading to a union position.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
