Job Description
As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery used in industrial operations. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely. This position involves traveling to job sites within the plant premises to inspect, service, and maintain various heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and Inspect: Inspect heavy equipment (such as industrial forklifts, bulldozers, cranes, and excavators) for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.
+ Repair and Replace: Dismantle faulty equipment parts and install new or fixed components. Repair or replace damaged or worn parts as needed.
+ Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to prevent potential failures and ensure smooth operations.
+ Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of serviced machines, documenting progress, issues, and completed repairs.
+ Safety Compliance: Collaborate with other mechanics and management to maintain machinery schedules and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
+ Testing and Verification: Test repaired machinery to verify successful restoration and adherence to performance and safety standards.
Essential Skills
+ Capable of rebuilding diesel engines and troubleshooting AC and electrical systems.
+ Ability to swap out motors.
+ Experience working on heavy equipment (industrial forklifts, heavy construction equipment, cruise haulers, wollards, etc.).
+ Familiarity with air to fuel ratio, fuel flash points, and internal combustion.
+ Experience doing full tear down of engines, cruise hauler, industrial forklift maintenance, wollard, hydraulics, heavy equipment.

Work Environment
Work in a very heavy industrial environment that is dirty and non-climate controlled, with some areas being extremely hot due to equipment operation and outdoor climate. The culture is family-oriented, with everyone willing to help each other out. The maintenance team currently comprises 86 individuals, aiming to increase to 106. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, hardhat, safety glasses, and ear plugs, with additional PPE as needed. The shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with an on-call rotation every two months, guaranteeing a minimum of 4 hours of pay for any call-in.

This is a Permanent position based out of Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $82000.00/yr.
- 9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)
- They can test every 6 months to test into higher tech level and get pay increase
- Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S
- 401K matches 6%. Benefits start on Day 1 (Full medical, dental and vision coverage – very competitive benefits and multiple options. You can get full copy during interview)
- $300 tool stipend each year

- Free clinic onsite for check ups or any issues that happen during the day
- Quarterly bonus up to 10% of what they have made in total that quarter. This is based on company profitability. They currently are averaging 4-6% per quarter
o Quarter bonus is tied to attendance.

- If you work 6 days in a row, on your 6th day you are paid x1.75. If you work 7 days in a row, your 7th day is double pay

- Vacation: Start out immediately at 80 hours. 3 years, 152 hours, 5 years - 175 hours, 10 years - 192 hours, 15 years - 208 hour
