Job Title: Elevator Mechanic Apprentice
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Low Rise Elevator Mechanic Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the vertical transportation industry. You will work under the supervision of licensed elevator mechanics to install, maintain, and repair low-rise elevator systems in commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic and traction elevator systems up to 5 stories.
+ Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
+ Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical elevator components.
+ Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
+ Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations on job sites.
+ Document work performed and materials used.
+ Attend required training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship program.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
+ Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
+ Willingness to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Enrollment in or eligibility for a recognized elevator apprenticeship program.
+ Basic knowledge of electrical systems or construction practices.
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools is beneficial.
+ Electrical work experience is a plus.

Work Environment
Work will be conducted in commercial low-rise buildings primarily located in the West Palm Beach and Jupiter territories. Candidates must reside within 20 miles of the territory and be prepared to work in various weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Palm Beach, Florida
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
