Job Title: Critical Facilities Operating Engineer
Job Description
The Critical Facilities Operating Engineer is responsible for delivering best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center systems.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers, plumbing, controls, and electrical systems.
+ Oversee emergency backup systems including lighting, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution transformers, and hot water systems.
+ Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilation systems, water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
+ Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Analyze the operation of various systems to determine the cause of any problems or malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
+ Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
+ Manage work orders including CMMS vendor management and customer-facing tickets.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in construction or building engineering.
+ Ability to work in confined spaces and on roofs of buildings.
+ Interpretation of engineering drawings and equipment manuals.
+ Diploma or GED.
+ Physical ability to operate commercial power tools.
+ Ability to work on a ladder and lift up to 70 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Trade or maintenance license.
+ CFC Refrigerant Certification.
+ Exposure to CMMS systems such as Corrigo.

Work Environment
The work environment includes 2 openings for the day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 2 openings for the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The shift follows a 3-2-2-3 schedule, providing a 3-day weekend every other week. The data center is a 400k sq ft facility equipped with advanced technologies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.82/hr.
