Job Title: Material Handler Forklift
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in a small warehouse environment where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including order picking using a cherry picker, material handling with a pallet jack, packing, labeling, and managing shipping and receiving duties. This role plays a crucial part in assembling and fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and fill orders for shipment to customers or other divisions.
+ Load and unload common carrier and company vehicles.
+ Assemble customer orders for shipment via UPS/LTL.
+ Process shipment paperwork, including verifying merchandise, applying postage, and completing BOL information for LTL shipments.
+ Follow customer shipping instructions and insure shipments when necessary.
+ Gather assembled orders, verify their quantities and descriptions, and count the total quantity of merchandise for invoicing.
+ Pack each order into a container and arrange it on a shelf according to the truck route.
+ Verify quantities and items being shipped against the invoice.
+ Substitute for other warehouse personnel as needed.
+ Use a scanner for the Warehouse Management System, pick orders, and manage general material put away after receipt.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift.
+ Ability to lift 50-75 lbs multiple times per shift.
+ Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
+ Experience with Stand-Up Reach Truck or cherry picker (preferred), Forklift, and RF scanner.
+ Proficient in loading, pallet jack operation, unloading, shipping and receiving, assembly, order picking, packaging, packing, inventory, production, picking, sit-down forklift, RF scan gun, warehouse inventory, general production, warehouse packing, and electric pallet jack.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of forklift or electrical products is beneficial but not required.
+ Excellent attendance record.
+ Ability to meet deadlines.
+ Willingness to work overtime as needed.
+ Steel-toed shoes are required.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small warehouse operation, which is not temperature controlled, but equipped with large fans to maintain a cool atmosphere. The shift is Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
