    Maintenance Mechanic

     

    Currently hiring for Direct Hire Maintenance Mechanics in the Chicago, IL area. Hiring immediately paying up to $38 per hour plus shift differential.

    Job Description

    + Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment

    + Work on machinery including proofers, ovens, mixers, flower systems, high-speed packaging machines, fillers, baggers, x-ray machines, scales, date coders, metal detectors, labeling machines, pumps, and compressors

    + Responsible for general facilities maintenance as needed

    + Utilize blueprints and schematics

    + Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel (willing to train)

    + Use mills, lathes, torches, grinders, saws, and drill presses to fabricate parts

    + Troubleshoot and replace 3 phase motors, switches, photo eyes, sensors, fuses, and relays

    + Work with both pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

    + Experience performing mechanical troubleshooting and repairs

    + Read blueprints and schematics

    + Experience working up to 480V

    + Experience wiring up a 3 phase motor

    + 3+ years of maintenance experience

    + Experience with mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting

    + 3rd shift 5:00pm-5:00am, 5 days per week (60 hours)

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience troubleshooting PLCs

    + HVAC experience

    + Boiler experience

    + Experience with manual mills and lathes to make parts

    + Former GMP experience

    + Bilingual

    + Experience with TIG and MIG welding

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
