    Job Title: Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator

    Job Description

    The Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator is responsible for accurately picking and staging cases for shipment using a reach truck and other material handling equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate reach trucks proficiently in narrow aisles and high racks.

    + Accurately pick cases based on order sheets or RF scanners.

    + Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring correct product counts and minimizing shrinkage.

    + Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

    + Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and update inventory.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reach truck operation and case picking.

    + Experience with RF scanners and inventory management systems.

    + Certification in forklift or reach truck operation.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

    + Experience in cold storage or high-volume distribution centers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    + Attention to detail for accurate picking, labeling, and staging orders.

    + Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying quantities.

    + Strong communication skills for team interaction and reporting.

    + Problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting equipment issues.

    + Adaptability to changing environments and processes.

    + OSHA Forklift Certification preferred.

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Experience in logistics or distribution centers.

    + Knowledge of Lean or 5S principles for organized workspaces.

    + Bilingual abilities in Spanish/English are advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a warehouse setting that may include cold storage or ambient temperature zones. It is fast-paced and physically demanding with a team-oriented culture that prioritizes safety. Shift-based work is required, with availability for day, night, and weekend shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
