    Job Summary

    The Foundation Officer identifies and cultivates donor relationships. They maintain ongoing relationships with assigned donors, focusing on major gifts.

     

    Hybrid position: Will work onsite in College Station 2 days per week, one day onsite in Brenham, TX. Will also travel to Temple or Georgetown for quarterly meetings.

    Essential Functions of the Role

    + Develops and implements strategies for the solicitation and acquisition of major, capital, endowment, and planned gifts

    + Identifies new prospects and builds relationships to advance major gift solicitations. Maintains a major-gift-level portfolio of 50-150 team members.

    + Plans and participates in programs to increase the visibility of the Foundation and BSWH to internal and external constituencies.

    + Establishes and maintains effective relationships with volunteer leadership, institutional heads and peers to maximize total gift revenue.

    + Ensures that proper donor acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship occurs in a timely way according to BSWH guidelines.

    + Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous way.

    Key Success Factors

    + Ability to work with and motivate a wide range of people, including donors, prospects, board members, physicians, administrators, volunteers, and staff.

    + Familiarity with the moves management methods and techniques of gift solicitation with a particular emphasis on major gift donors.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Working knowledge of prospect research tools available and knowledge of how to access and use those products.

    + Documented track record of success in coordinating and securing gifts.

    + Familiarity with Raiser's Edge is a plus.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

    + EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
