Job Title: Utility Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Utility Technician in a vibrant rubber manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our production line and facility.

Responsibilities

+ Clean and remove billets from ovens.

+ Pick up shavings and clippings from the floor.

+ Maintain and organize the production line and floor.

+ Dispose of trash from plastic, rubber, and other areas.

+ Operate a lathe to cut billets.

+ Glue billets to particle wood.

Essential Skills

+ 1-3 years of general labor, cleaning, or janitorial experience.

+ Experience in manufacturing or production environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Facilities maintenance

+ Shipping and receiving

+ Packaging

+ Inventory management and control

+ Warehouse operations

+ Data entry

+ ERP system proficiency

+ RF scanner usage

+ Cycle counts

Work Environment

Experience a very clean and orderly shop floor that is climate-controlled. This position involves a first shift schedule from 6 am to 2 pm, with a need for flexibility regarding hours and overtime. The manufacturing and production environment can be hot and loud at times, so candidates with previous similar experience will thrive.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of HUMBLE, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
