    Job Title: HEO Technician

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team as an HEO Technician specializing in asphalt, mass grading, concrete, and site utilities. We are seeking skilled operator technicians to work on various construction sites in the Charlotte area, where you will play a crucial role in site development.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate bulldozers and excavators to fine grade building pads and lay pipe.

    + Assist with road and curb crew tasks, including basic shovel work.

    + Perform labor work when necessary, stepping out of the operator chair to ensure project success.

    + Maintain and utilize equipment such as Trackhoe, Dozer, Skid Steer, and Trackhoe.

    + Prove proficiency in labor roles to transition to operating equipment like rollers, articulated dump trucks, bull dozers, excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of construction experience operating heavy equipment.

    + Proficiency in construction, labor, grading, and site work.

    + Experience with equipment such as dozers, trackhoes, backhoes, skidsteers, loaders, and excavators.

    + Skills in erosion control, fine grading, excavation, and pipe laying.

    + Familiarity with GPS, grade stake usage, and safety protocols.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience with a civil grading contractor preferred.

    + Desire and motivation to work in the construction industry.

    + Ability to work effectively around earth-moving equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an open-aired construction environment, exposed to various elements. Be prepared to work in both hot and cold conditions. Projects will either be on wide-open sites or road crews where buildings have gone vertical. Safety is a top priority in our operations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
