    Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

    Job Description

    The role involves building pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped from a large distribution center. The individual will be responsible for picking, packing, and constructing pallets based on client orders for grocery stores and retailers. This position requires operating a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment, where the employee will navigate the forklift from one location to the next, customizing pallets according to specific client requirements. A headset will be provided to guide the employee on what to pick and where to go within the warehouse.

    Responsibilities

    + Build pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped from the warehouse.

    + Pick, pack, and construct pallets based on client orders for grocery stores and retailers.

    + Operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

    + Navigate the forklift to customize pallets according to specific client requirements.

    + Use a headset to receive instructions on what to pick and where to go in the warehouse.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with forklift operation, specifically stand-up forklifts.

    + Order picking and packing skills.

    + General labor experience.

    + Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.

    + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 6 months of forklift experience, or over 1 year in a fast-paced warehouse.

    Work Environment

     

    The work takes place in a large, climate-controlled distribution center that is very clean and organized. Employees are expected to adhere to a professional dress code suitable for a warehouse environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
