Minimum Qualifications
+ Master's degree in higher education administration, business administration or related filed is required
+ Experience in career services is preferred
Job Duties and Other Information
Administrative Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with Academic Departments, Alumni Affairs and Employers to identify and develop employment and internship opportunities
+ Maintain all student records, process documents, and make requests for transcripts
+ Serve as an Instructor for University Experience 1000
+ Assist students with problems related to hiring and maintain compliance with office policies, university policies, and federal regulations for hiring practices
+ Assist students in the development of professional credential packets including resumes produced on the computer and web-based programs, review all credentials of students participating in on-campus interviews to determine that the qualifications of the student match those requested by the employer
+ Assess strengths and weaknesses of students in the job search process and train students in proper job search skills and assist students individually to prepare for interviews by researching in the career library and learning appropriate job search skills
+ Operate micro-computer software system to create, establish and maintain an electronic filing system or identifying, recording, classifying, storing data, extracting, and merging student placement information and a company database.
+ Maintain professional licensure, certification, and membership in appropriate professional organizations
+ Serve on University committees when requested
+ Train and assign tasks to graduate assistants in career development activities and conduct periodic assessment of skills development and assist in the supervision of student workers in day-to-day office tasks
Programs and Services:
+ Develop, coordinate, and implement on-campus recruiting activities including Teacher Job Fair and Car er/Graduate Day, Summer Job Fair and Spring Career Fair and other placement activities
+ Provide career services to students
+ Conduct seminars and presentations on career development topics
+ Plan, coordinate and evaluate on-campus recruiting programs
+ Work closely with the graduate assistants to market on-campus interviews and to notify campus community about programs and job vacancies
+ Engage in other duties as assigned by the supervisor
