    LSU Health New Orleans Division of Auxiliary Enterprise Mail Services is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator 1 or 2.

     

    This position is part of a Career Progression Group.

     

    As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an (Administrative Coordinator 1 or 2) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Please refer to the ‘Job Specifications’ tab located at the top of the LA Careers ‘Current Job Opportunities’ page of the Civil Service website for specific information on salary ranges, minimum qualifications and job concepts for each level.

     

    Rate of pay is dependent on applicants’ qualifications.

    Core competencies include:

    + Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly ana appropriately to connect people and ideas.

    + Focus on Customers: The ability to serve the needs of those who support and/or rely on the services provided.

    + Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws.

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    + Accurately sorts high volumes of US Postal Service mail, parcels, accountable mail (registered and certified), interdepartmental and student mail. Sorts mail for 144 departments

    + Delivers sorted mail to university departments, appropriate offices and picks up mail and parcels

    + Operates postage machines (postage scales, automated meters, etc.) to process outgoing mail

    + Processes packages for shipping with United Parcel Service. Operates and maintains (fuels, conducts preventative maintenance inspections, washes, takes vehicle for service, maintains mileage logs) mail van or light truck

    + Accurately logs high volumes of parcels/packages, perishable items, gas cylinders and maintain accountability for these items until delivery to departments

    + Operates, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and flat trucks. Inspects incoming stock or equipment and compares to specifications on invoice, requisition or purchase order

    + Provide as needed support for clerical help in other Supply Chain Managment and Auxiliary Enterprise sections including but not limited to Cafeteria, Bookstores, and Shipping & Receiving
