    Duties

    • Candidates will prepare surfaces for painting by smoothing, filling, shaping, taping, flushing, and removing old paint.

    • Candidates will identify safety hazards while working around paint substances, chemicals, and equipment.

    • Candidates will mix, match, tint, and blend coating materials by adding agents (e.g., retardants, dryers, solvents, thinners) to verify correct color, texture, consistency, hardening, and drying.

    • SSPC/ AMPP Certified C-7, C-12, C-13, C-14 are a plus.
